Sigh. Am I the only person on the planet who revels in cliffhangers? I *LIKE* being held in suspense... within reason. A couple of days, fine. A week, owtch. More than that? It produces unnecessary moments of angstiness in my own fics (currently either making Tora attempt to eat Ushio again, or maybe I should have Conan get bashed over the head *another time* or something like that). But in general I really *do* like cliffhangers-- it just makes the next chapter all that better.
Of course, that doesn't keep me from hitting the refresh-button overandoverandoverandoverandoveragain too..... @_^
